It’s easy to trust God when our lives are going well. But when God gives us a promise that doesn’t align with our circumstances, what will our response be?

Abram’s promise from God was that his family would one day become a great nation. But how can you become a great nation when you’re 75 years old and you don’t even have a child because your wife is barren and unable to conceive children?

It can be hard to believe what God says when our circumstances don’t match His promise. God desires for His people to fully trust Him. This requires us to obey, even when we can’t picture the end result. Through our obedience, God may be trying to lead us to a greater place of service and usefulness for Him. It’s our responsibility to trust Him and take that first step of obedience.
