The final key and prayer that we will discuss is something that we all seek from God at different moments within our lives: Protection.

4. Protection.

Protect – To cover or shield from exposure, injury, damage, or destruction. To guard, or defend.

We often pray to God for protection during the midst of fear, uncertainty, or loss. We pray for protection when we are seriously ill. We pray for protection when we are struggling financially, or emotionally. We pray for protection after losing a loved one.

Just as a frightened child will hide behind their mother or father, we seek God for protection from the realities of life.

When someone feels unsafe, all they can think about is finding safety. Unfortunately, this fear can lead us down dangerous paths if we allow it to. We find unhealthy habits to preoccupy our minds and take this fear from us.

The reality, however, is that instead of turning to these habits that take our minds off of our worries temporarily, we should instead turn to God, who can take these worries from our life permanently. It is through His wisdom, guidance, and love that we will find security despite our circumstances.

Say this prayer:

Dear Lord,

I ask for your graceful guidance as I build and grow this business. I put my trust in your hands so that you will bless my business, my suppliers, my customers, and my employees. I pray that you protect this enterprise and the investments that I’ve put into it. I ask that you lead me, guide me, and advise me. May my journey be generous, fruitful, and successful, today and always.

I pray to you with all that I am and all that I hold. In Jesus’ name, amen.
