Whose Voice are You Hearing?

In today’s world, there are so many voices converging from different directions. Whose voice are you sensitive to? To the voice of the people around you, the devil or God? The choice is yours. He has given us the freedom to choose and decide for ourselves. God never interferes with our will. He never controls us.

Matilda was suffering from a heart problem. She was very upset. I gave her a few verses from God’s Word to declare, telling her to do it several times a day. She was very excited. But when it was time to admit her in the hospital, she was upset and started asking me several questions. I said, “Continue declaring the Word of God. Don’t look at the situation, but look unto God who can turn every situation around. Just because you don’t see anything happening, doesn’t mean God is not working. Everything will work out. God is in control.”

Dear friends, when you face difficulties. Don’t go to the phone, but go to the throne of God. Learn to be sensitive to the voice of God. When your emotions say, ‘No way!’, remember, God will make a way, where there seems to be no way.

My brother could not come out of alcoholism. Whenever he went into depression, he consumed alcohol. One day, as he was praying, he heard God saying, “Thank you.” From that day, he stopped consuming alcohol because every moment the word, ‘Thank you’ kept ringing in his ears. Especially when you are stressed and worried, listen to the voice of God. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

Holy Spirit, teach me to be sensitive to Your voice in all circumstances. Amen.
