The Connection Of Creation

You look up at the stars and wonder how big and far the sky goes, stand at the beach and look at the sea and think about how vast it is, go on a bushwalk and marvel at the amazing views and creation all around, you see an act of grace and wonder about the love shown in that moment.

God is everywhere, all the time, with us and about us and connected to us and in us through His Holy Spirit.

David (the writer of the Psalm) sees the connection between the Creator and the creation. All of creation – the grand stuff and the small stuff; and although there are a lot of people, we are the small stuff. David asks, in the midst of all this awesome stuff God has created, why is He mindful of us, why does He care about us?

Well, we know that we were created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26–27) and that we are in a relationship with Him. This is a special relationship, one that matters so much that to restore the relationship we broke, God acted. He sent His son Jesus so that the relationship could be restored.

So God cares for us because He loves us. It’s that simple. We say thank you, Lord, I love you too.
