As you read today consider this: For our sake, God stumbled toward execution.

Jesus endured a Roman flogging. They tore His flesh from His body, His organs were exposed, and He lost more blood with every step. His body was failing, the grain of the cross pressing into His shoulders and the weight of it pushing Him down. Finally, He collapsed.
