1–2 Peter: A 10-Day Devotional Reading PlanExemple

A Royal Priesthood
As Christians, we are part of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation, and we belong to God. That is the identity of each of us in Christ, yet we are prone to identify ourselves by what we have or what we do—“I’m a mom,” or “I’m a math teacher.”
Reflection:
Do you naturally define yourself by who you are in Christ? If you more readily define yourself by what you do in day-to-day life or by something you have, why do you think you default here? How can Peter’s identity categories—chosen race, royal priesthood, and a holy nation—reshape how we see ourselves and impact how we live? Try to set out a practical application.
