Who Am I Without God Exemple

"FIRE EMOJI 4"
This life promises to be full of ups and downs, and hills and valleys. Jesus even told us in the Gospels that in this life there will be trouble. (John 16:33).
When you go through tough stuff, often it is said that you have been through the fire.
Fire in the valley of life might be your parents’ long and painful divorce.
Fire in the valley of life might be the painful death of someone close to you.
Fire in the valley of life might be the constant rejection you get from others you thought were friends.
Fire in the valley of life might be the weight of others’ unmet expectations crashing down on you daily.
Fire in the valley of life might be the season you’re in right now.
When you are in that season, that fire, that valley, the question remains: where do you look for confidence to come through it?
Will you look for confidence in yourself or outside yourself?
When we hope in ourselves, we cannot see the hills to come, but when we hope in the Lord our confidence rises.
It rises because we know we are not alone in the fire of life’s circumstances.
It rises because our eyes are fixed on God more than our circumstances, our valleys.
We have that confidence because by God’s grace, and not on our own ability. He will get us through the fire, the valley, and bring us through to the other side.
If you're in a valley filled with trials, trouble, and tears, now is the moment to pray and turn to the goodness of our God who longs to notice you and remind you that you are not alone.
