Motivation For The Great CommissionExemple

Day 5: Don’t Let Guilt Be Your Motivation
When it comes to partnering with Jesus toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission, it is important to check our motives. While “guilt” is a motivation that may work in the short term, we do not find this method in the Scriptures, be it in Jesus’ or the apostles’ examples.
The Great Commission is a lifelong calling that can only be sustained through the natural outpouring of our abiding relationship with Christ. Guilt may effectively motivate us for short spurts, but burnout always waits on the other side of our own strength. May we ever look to Jesus as our example for life and ministry.
À propos de ce plan

Perhaps you’ve heard someone talk about the Great Commission to “disciple the nations” (see Matthew 28:18-20) this way: “Jesus had only one plan—His disciples—and if they didn’t do it, it wouldn’t get done!” One might respond, “I feel like it all depends on me!” Let’s look to God's Word to better understand how we might live in light of the Great Commission as disciplemakers and help others do the same!
