SAYING 1: PAY ATTENTION

The phrase ‘pay attention’ is important in the book of Proverbs. Solomon presses the urgency and importance of seeking wisdom, which is why paying attention is crucial.

It’s interesting that attention is something you pay. It’s almost as if attention is a form of currency which must be properly managed. When you pay attention, you are making an investment. You are deciding that something is worth your time.

The Proverbs tell us that wisdom is worth our attention. Wisdom is worth investing in because it gives us the material to create the future we long for. Pay attention when it comes to wisdom. Pay attention when it comes to making good choices for your life. Pay attention to your relationships. Pay attention to where your life is headed. Pay attention to the type of person you are becoming. Pay attention because nothing matters more.
