Holy Week, Sending Out Disciple Makers - Disciple Makers Series #27Exemple

God Brings Faithful People
Thoughts on the message
Who would you expect to honor Jesus at His death?
Two unknown men? Women? His disciples? Peter?
At times, we are surprised because it is not who we expected. It was not Jesus’ faithful followers - it was the women and two unknown men. They did what the disciples would/could not do. They did not have the resources to bury Jesus – Joseph of Arimathea did. They did not know how to respond – these people did.
Do not be surprised that God will bring people to meet specific needs. Needs that His followers (like you and me) cannot meet. God also brought these women to be part of this process. It is not a surprise that God honored women first at the resurrection by showing Himself to them first. They were faithful when the other disciples were not.
Be faithful.
Prayer
Father, it is hard to do the right things when we do not have the resources to do it. It is hard to do the right thing when we are helpless. Still these followers chose to do what they could. You honored them by naming them and putting them in Your eternal Word. Just because they did what they could do.
Today, I want to be faithful and do what I can do even if it is not enough or seems useless. To just be faithful to my wife, my family and especially to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
