Panah | פָּנָה
(paw-naw)
To clear or to turn.

Derekh | דֶּרֶךְ
(DEH-rekh)
The way.
Tired vs Exhaustion
Tired
• Is what a body feels after it’s given itself to something that matters. It's honest, it's temporary, and rest actually fixes it.

Jesus got tired.
Jesus’s lifestyle meant He could be worn out and still be all there.
Tired vs Exhaustion
Exhaustion
• It's a depletion that goes deeper than the body.

It comes from living misaligned: doing the right things for the wrong reasons, carrying weight you were never sent to carry, performing an identity instead of resting in one.
5 Lifestyles Not Tasks
1. Be Sent
Shaliach | שָׁלִיחַ
(shah-LEE-ahkh)
Someone sent with the sender’s full authority.
When you are a “sent” person and not a “went” person nothing can get in the way of your potential.
5 Lifestyles Not Tasks
2. Be Reflecting
Reflecting is elevating. To reflect Jesus is to make Jesus bigger.
Relationships: pointing to God’s goodness in your story instead of making it about you.

5 Lifestyles Not Tasks
3. Be Known
Yada | יָדַע
(yah-DAH)
Knowledge gained through relationship and presence, not facts gathered from a distance.
2 Ways to “be” relational
1. Walk relationally
• Walking with God means do what He does. Rabbi -

2. Talk relationally
• If we aren’t connected to the vine, we cease to produce fruit that remains.
5 Lifestyles Not Tasks
4. Be Second
3 “Others” to prefer
1. Other People. Coworkers, church family, friends — someone else winning isn’t your loss.
2. Other Leaders. Make a decision to prefer your leaders. They are accountable to God for you.
3. Other “un-preferable”. The hard-to-love people. Judas was given the seat of honor.
5 Lifestyles Not Tasks
5. Be Secure
A secure person doesn't try to be everything to everyone; true security lies in being fully content with who you are not.
2 Signs you have a savior complex
1. You're a workaholic (saving yourself). You work non-stop because you don't trust God to handle your life.

2. You can't reproduce yourself (saving others). People won't grow to their
potential if they aren't given the opportunity to.
