Title: Give us this day our daily bread

Gods nature, Gods plan and purposes and Gods provision.

My goal for us today is that we would leave with a renewed reliance on God to care for us and for us to reset our lives, slow down and seek God daily to satisfy our spiritual hunger.

Jesus says give us this day our daily bread.

1.We're praying in faith that God will provide all our needs!!

Jesus was also, I believe, pointing the jews back to a very familiar story in the old testament when God saved his people from slavery and led them out of EGYPT.

God is saying, when you pray remember how God provided for the Israelites in the wilderness and he will also provide for you.

There's something powerful about reminding yourself of what God has done in the past when you're struggling to believe or trust God to provision.

God was wanting them to tell stories of God's provision!!

We need to share stories of How God has provided for us in the past to encourage and spur on the future generations!!

Trusting God to provide is so simple yet sometimes the hardest to believe and trust in.

That's why it's vital that we bring out needs to God daily in prayer.

Later in Matthew 6 God addresses anxiety and worry gives us the remedy.

2.Seek his kingdom first, be about his business and his needs and he will take care of yours!!

Could it be that things aren't coming together for you because his plans and purposes are not first in your life and you are in charge of the provision?

A couple ways God provides our daily bread
1.God gave you the ability to gain wealth.

It doesn't mean to sit around and pray and not put our hands to work.

2.God will provide through others .

So many times in the gospels we see Jesus and the disciples being taken care of by others, also in the book of Acts with Paul.

So many of us want to be used by God!!
Help another believer! What can you do? Make a meal, fix something around the house, mow a yard work on a car? Encourage someone with your words!

God has designed you to be the answer to some people's needs in the body of christ.

3.Praying God to give us this day our daily bread is not only relying on God for our physical needs but also our spiritual hunger.

Matthew 6:35 Jesus answered,“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst.

Praying give us our daily bread also emphasizes the spiritual need we have to seek God daily. There's no other answer to bear the fruit of the spirit than to spend time with God and rely on him to fill you with himself.

He doesn't just meet our material needs he satisfies our spiritual needs.

We cannot bear fruit on our own, we need daily time with God.

Let's trust God and come to him with our cares for this life.
Let's come to him daily to fill us with his might and his spirit.

Maybe you found yourself here today and you have yet to surrender your life to Jesus. All have sinned and fallen short of Gods standard. We all need a savior. Jesus is the only way to be forgiven of sins. If you want to come give your life to Jesus today come down and pray with one of our prayer team or pray this prayer yourself this morning .
