Title: The truths and errors of the " Prosperity Gospel"

The wrong view of Prosperity says that God wants you to be rich and healthy and if you're not then you're not blessed or you don't have enough faith for it.

It's a distorted gospel aimed at satisfying and gratifying the flesh through wealth acquisition and lusting after materialism.

The reward of our salvation is the righteousness of God we obtained through faith in Jesus Christ our lord.

God does promise to take care of us!

Does God want us to prosper? YES!!!!

H6743 is used 49 times and it is translated as:“to advance, prosper, make progress, succeed, be profitable, to make prosperous”

God wants us to "succeed".

Biblical success is fulfilling God's specific plan and calling on your life not someone else's.

Do not envy other peoples assignments on the earth!

Is God opposed to riches and wealth? NO!!!

the Bible Cleary states GOD MADE certain individuals wealthy. ( Having an abundance of goods).

There's a lot of ways to get rich outside of the blessing of God.
How do you know if you're experiencing the blessing of GOD? Is there sorrow with it?
Is it affecting your relationships with your family, your marriage is falling apart, your kids are rebelling because you're always gone.
You're always overworking and on edge.

God desires his people to rest! Take sabbaths and trust God to work when you don't.

Don't seek to get rich, seek first the kingdom!!

So many millionaires said at the end of their life they felt so alone and wished they had deeper relationships with people.

Does God want you poor?
I don't see any scripture that says God wants you to be a beggar who can't support themselves and their families. The bible does say it's better for someone in poverty to have integrity than someone who has wealth from dishonest gain.

Since material wealth is not a sure indication of God’s blessing, being poor is not necessarily a sign of God’s disapproval. In fact, it is possible to be poor in material things but rich in spiritual things

Of course, sometimes being poor is the result of bad choices. The Bible warns that laziness will lead to being poor.

At the same time working hard can bring wealth.

God gives you the ability! You have to get out and work!! Don't expect people to just give you money and never try to work hard for yourself.

If you're disabled that's a completely different story.

The Bible tells us to give to leaders to the local church, to give generously, Sacrificially, and to help the widow and orphan-
We cannot be generous and help others if we ourselves are broke.


Also God doesn't look at the amount of money we give he looks at the heart and sacrifice!

So, what is biblical prosperity?
Having enough to fulfill God's plan for your life and enough extra to help others fulfill theirs. -James Baker

Money is not evil but the love of it is.

Christ is the reward, he is our prize.
The ultimate blessing from God is the salvation of our souls. There is no greater form of prosperity than that of eternal life in heaven with our lord.
