The Bible's Business PlanNäide

“'Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,' says the LORD Almighty, 'and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.'” Malachi 3:10 NIV
BUSINESS BIBLE
The Bible says more than what you think it says about generosity. The word for tithe means 1/10th; no more, no less. You may have heard to give whatever you have decided in your heart. “Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”[1] Cheerful giving is being ready to act, or spontaneous, non-reluctant giving. So, do we give 10% or whatever we decide in our hearts?
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.[2] The Bible reveals a relationship between generosity and successful work. The promise is that when we follow his commands and give generously, God will bless all the work of our hands. Giving generously to the poor is also the source of joy.
So, give the whole tithe cheerfully, generously—and see how God blesses your work. You cannot afford not to give!
