God's ImitatorsSample
You are in Jesus' army--now! Does it seem that the hardest part of being a kid is that you are never old enough? You aren't old enough to watch PG-13 movies. You aren't old enough to stay home by yourself. You aren't old enough to drive. You aren't old enough, it seems, to do anything but wait . . . until you're older. One of the coolest things about God, I think, is that He says you are old enough--right now--to be in His army. The devil thinks you're old enough to tempt, to deceive, to attack, so God says you're old enough to wear His battle gear. You get to put on all the armor that God supplies. In this way, you can take a stand against the devil's strategies (Ephesians 6:11). So it's time to get dressed with God's armor. Speak the truth, live at peace with the people around you, don't hide your righteousness, share your faith, and trust in God's salvation. The cool part? You get to use a sword, the sword of the Spirit that is God's Word, to help you in the battle. You're in the army--now!
