God Wants You to ProsperSample

Pillars of Prosperity: Faith (2)
So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead) - James 2:17 AMPC
We’ve already established that faith is not wishful thinking. It’s not just sitting in your room, closing your eyes, and repeating “I will prosper” 500 times, hoping money rains through the ceiling. Real faith works and walks. James 2:17 says: “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”That means if you believe God will prosper you, your actions should reflect that belief.
Here’s the thing: faith is shown not just in your prayers, but in your steps. If you believe God will expand your business, are you preparing for growth? If you believe for a better job, are you updating your skills or sending out applications? Faith prepares the ground for the harvest. Noah believed God would send rain, so he built the ark. Imagine if he had said, “Well, when I see clouds, then I’ll start building.” Faith gets moving even when the sky is clear!
And remember, faith doesn’t mean you’ll never feel fear or uncertainty. It means you move forward despite it. One of my favourite examples is Peter walking on water. He stepped out of the boat because of Jesus’ word, not because the sea was calm (Matthew 14:29). Sometimes, faith looks like applying for that contract even when you feel underqualified, or launching that product even when you’re unsure who will buy. It’s the action that turns faith into results.
So today, don’t just say you believe in God’s prosperity, show it! Start that project. Take that first step. Invest in your growth. Write the plan. As one wise preacher says, “Faith moves first, and feelings follow later.” Go on, put some legs on your faith today!
Prayer and Confession
I walk by faith, not by sight! My actions align with God’s promises for my life. I am not passive. I move forward in obedience. Every step I take is guided by God’s Word. My faith is alive, active, and producing results!
