A Radical Call to Holiness to Welcome His Glory - Jean-Luc TrachselSample

One Thing: His Presence
David was a king, a warrior, and a leader of a people, but he summed up his deepest desire in one thing: to remain in God's presence. He could have asked for prosperity or victories, but his heart longed to contemplate the beauty of the Lord.
Even today, it is easy to get caught up in activism and distractions. We chase after blessings, but forget the One who blesses. Yet the true treasure is His Presence. It is enough when everything else is lacking. It changes hearts, heals the sick, and turns nations upside down.
A.W. Tozer said, “We are called to continual occupation with God.” The Presence is not an occasional visit, but a permanent dwelling. In past revivals, what struck the crowds was not only the preaching, but a tangible Presence that shook entire cities.
In my time of setting apart and fasting, I realize that everything loses its value in the face of His Presence. It is joy in trials, strength in weakness, and light in darkness. To choose “one thing” is to choose what will never pass away.
Declaration of Faith:
I choose to seek God's Presence above all else. I believe that it is my most precious treasure. I proclaim that I am called to be a bearer of His Presence in my generation.
Prayer:
Lord, I desire only one thing: You. Fill every space in my life with Your Spirit. Deliver me from distractions that turn me away from You. Make my life a living temple where Your Glory dwells.
Additional Scriptures:
Exodus 33:14-15; John 15:4-5; Psalm 84:10; James 4:8
