The Bible Made Simple [Overview]Sample

In this reading plan, you get to know the Big Picture of the Bible.

This Big Picture can be described like this:
The Bible reveals God’s plan to rescue humanity through Jesus Christ.

Here’s what we’ve seen so far:
✊ The Rebellion – How the problem begins
📜 The Law – The uncovering of the problem
✝️ The Cross – The solution to the problem
🕊️ The Spirit – The overcoming of the problem

And today, we see Part 5 — The Kingdom: how the problem finally ends.

The problem was that humanity rebelled against God.

This rebellion disconnected us from Him, and we failed to represent Him on earth.
Now, with the Holy Spirit, we can live connected to God and represent Him again.

But the world is still full of the problem and its consequences—rebellion, war, hunger, pain, and injustice.

The problem is not fully gone yet.

But God’s plan is that one day the problem will be completely gone.
That day will come when Jesus comes back as King.

“…[Jesus] will come back…” (Acts 1:11)

When He comes back, He will reign perfectly—just as humans were meant to do in the beginning.

And His reign will never end.

“…He will reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 11:15)

Why does His reign end the problem?

Because all rebellion will stop.

Evil will be judged and removed.

The connection with God will be fully restored.

And creation will be made new—no more death, no more pain, no more injustice.

In the end, God’s rescue plan will be completed.

“…there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:4, NLT)

This is how it all ends.

Now you have a clear view of the Big Picture of the Bible.

You’ve seen the whole picture—God’s plan to rescue humanity through Jesus Christ.

Keep this Big Picture in mind whenever you read the Bible. It will help you see where each part fits.

To finish this plan, take time to read Revelation 19:1–16—it points to the day when Jesus will return and God’s plan will be complete.

If you really believed that Jesus will return and reign forever—

Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for the hope I have in You—that one day, You will return, and everything will be made right.
I want to live today with that day in mind—not for myself, but for Your Kingdom.
Help me to live as someone who belongs to You—with purpose, with joy, and with expectation.
Amen.
