30 Day Battle-Ready Challenge - Leadership for Christian MenSample

Day 12: Prepare for Resistance
Reflection: Think about this: if you never experience resistance from the enemy, it might be because you’re walking in the same direction he is. The reality I’ve seen in my own life is that the closer and more passionately I pursue God, the more intense the attacks from the enemy become.
That truth alone can cause many men to hesitate from going all in. I get it—spiritual warfare isn’t fun. The attacks sting, and sometimes they shake us.
When I launched The Lion Within Us, it felt like attacks came from every angle. Over time, I’ve accepted this truth: if I’m committed to pursuing God in every area of life, there will be a cost. But let me be clear—it’s worth it.
Sure, the thought of stepping back for temporary relief sounds appealing in the moment, but remember this: you are not alone in the fight. The struggles you face are real, but they are not unique. Believers around the world have been enduring the same resistance for generations.
Here’s a question worth wrestling with: Does the enemy consider you a threat right now? If he’s not concerned about your walk, that might be your first sign that something needs to change.
A battle-ready warrior isn’t preparing for if a fight comes—he knows it’s coming. So, expect pushback. Stay alert. Stand firm in your faith. And step into the battle.
Mission: Identify the fight God is calling you into right now. Don’t keep it to yourself—talk about it with a brother in Christ. Your courage might be exactly what he needs to get into the arena, too.
Field Order: Paint a target on your back by taking one bold step of obedience today. It might feel scary, but remember: you are not alone in this fight.
