30 Day Battle-Ready Challenge - Leadership for Christian MenSample

Day 1: Stand Your Ground
Reflection: Before heading into battle, a wise soldier checks his gear to ensure every piece of armor is secured and ready. Spiritually speaking, what’s amazing about the armor of God is this: once it’s on, it never has to come off. But whether we use it is another matter entirely.
One of the saddest thoughts is a man reaching heaven only to realize his armor is practically untouched—no dents, no wear, no signs of battle. What a waste of divine equipping!
If you’re committed to standing against the enemy, expect a few dents and scrapes along the way. Personally, I hope to arrive in heaven with a shield that’s been hammered, a breastplate scarred from impact, a helmet marked with dings, and a sword bearing cracks from heavy use—proof that it was wielded with boldness.
Mission: Reflect on the six pieces of armor—belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the Gospel, helmet of salvation, shield of faith, and sword of the Spirit. Identify one you’ve neglected in the last 48 hours.
Field Order: Over the next 24 hours, intentionally course-correct. For example:
- If your sword (the Word of God) is dull, memorize a verse to sharpen it.
- If your feet aren’t carrying the Gospel, spend 10 minutes practicing how to share it.
Get specific. Get practical. And above all—execute.
