Day 14 – Interceding for the World

God’s vision is not just for individuals or local communities; it extends to the whole world. The Great Commission points us toward our mission for the world. We are to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them what Jesus has commanded.

Intercession for the world expands our perspective beyond our own needs. It helps us see God’s heart for every culture, every people group, and every land. The gospel is good news for all, and our prayers join in God’s mission to reach every corner of the earth.

The corners of the earth aren’t just the countries we see on the map; they are the offices of our coworkers, the homes in our neighborhoods, and the strangers we encounter daily. Interceding for the world allows God to speak to you about ways you can impact it physically and spiritually. Interceding for the world causes you to have a heart that breaks for the lost and the broken, mirroring the heart of our Savior.

Though the world faces wars, injustice, and suffering, prayer invites God’s kingdom to break through in powerful ways. Missionaries are strengthened, churches are planted, and lives are changed when God’s people intercede for the nations.

Today, pray for the world. Ask God to move in power across nations, drawing people everywhere to His Son, Jesus Christ.
