35 Day Prayer Plan

DAY 1 OF 35

God’s Kingdom
Praying for God’s Kingdom invites us to align our lives with His will and purposes. It shifts our focus from building our kingdoms to seeking His reign in our hearts and the world. This prayer cultivates surrender, obedience, and anticipation of His greater work.

Day 1 – God’s Kingdom in My Life
Seeking God’s Kingdom first sounds simple on the surface, but it goes against what we naturally do as human beings. For some of us, the first thing we seek is fear or doubt. Others may seek out comfort or security. But Jesus calls us toward a radical shift in how we live. Instead of chasing Him, we often chase after security, success, or comfort because it is the only thing that will deliver a lasting peace. But Jesus points us toward the kingdom of God. To seek God’s kingdom above all else means we place His rule and His will as the priority in our lives. It is more than an attitude; it’s a daily choice to align our thoughts, desires, and actions with His purposes.

When we choose to live righteously, it’s not about self-made holiness, but about walking in step with the Spirit who transforms us. The promise attached to this verse is profound: when God’s kingdom is our priority, He takes responsibility for our needs. That doesn’t mean life will be free from challenges, but it does mean we can rest in His faithful provision.

God’s kingdom is not something distant; it begins now, in our lives, when Christ is enthroned in our hearts. Imagine what changes when His reign defines your decisions, relationships, and future perspective. Peace replaces anxiety, generosity replaces greed, and hope replaces fear.

Today, ask yourself: Is God’s kingdom truly first in my life? As you reflect, turn this into a prayer. Invite His reign over every part of your heart, trusting He will provide all you need.
