How to Grow in Self-ControlSample

It takes patience to build walls of self-control. It takes patience for fruit to grow and become ripe. Jesus died to atone for your sin and the Spirit has been given to transform your life. You can expect change, but your old passions and desires will put up a fight. Be patient as you learn to walk in the new life you have been given.
Celebrate and give thanks to God for the changes that you have seen already - for godly sorrow over sin, for a greater love for God as your Father, for any habits that have already been changed. Pray for patience as the Spirit continues his work and cultivates self-control in your life.
