40 Days to Awaken Your Sober MindSample

Change begins with a commitment, not a perfect record, but a steady “yes.” You don’t have to be confident. You just have to be committed.
Commitment means showing up even when you don’t feel like it. God honors discipline and dedication because these choices don’t rely on feelings or our comfort zone. Trusting God with the long haul is believing that every small step matters.
The Psalms and Proverbs both tell us that when we commit our way to the Lord, He moves. He builds. He brings things to pass. God has already gone before us and prepared the way, and He is preparing us along the way. When I first started this ministry in SoberSis, sharing God’s freedom work in my own life, I had no idea where it would lead, but I knew the Leader. The commitment I feel to this work is because of the character of the One who is in control of everything. It’s really reassuring to know that He has the roadmap, and our role is always to continually commit our ways to Him, knowing that He will make them straight.
So make your commitment today. Speak it. Write it. Walk it. God’s already in it.
Prayer:
God, I commit this journey to You. Strengthen me where I feel unsure, and guide me step by step. When I feel weary or like I’m in the dark, send Your light to warm me and show me the next right step.
Journal Prompt:
What is one specific commitment you’re ready to make? How will you remind yourself of it daily?

About this Plan

Have you found yourself at the end of a long day, wondering, “Is this glass of wine really helping? You’re not alone. Let's awaken your sober mind through presence, grace, and truth. We’ll explore what it means to pause, connect, and live in alignment. We’re going to look at what God’s Word says about freedom, peace, and wholeness. Each day, I encourage you to slow down and really reflect. Let this be more than just a reading. Let it be a rewiring. You are not broken. You’re being rebuilt. One day at a time, one choice at a time.
