40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

DAY 28 OF 40

This sober-minded journey of practicing consistent presence can be really challenging. Not because you’re weak, but because you’re growing.

Courage doesn’t mean you don’t struggle. Courage means you show up anyway. And Christ gives you strength. Not just for the big moments, but for the small, faithful ones. Like saying “no” to that glass of wine tonight. Like journaling instead of pouring.

Isaiah promises that God’s strength meets you in the moment. The Bible clearly says who God is and what He will do. He tells us not to fear because He is with us and strengthens us in the face of difficulty. I’ve felt this in my own life when it is evident the Lord has increased my capacity, put a shield around me, and helped me rise to face my challenges.

Philippians reminds us that through Jesus, you can do this, even when it’s hard. We are infused with inner strength through the power of the Holy Spirit and ready for anything because of Christ’s sufficiency. Sister, you can do hard things because greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world. Your surrender is your spiritual weapon.

Feel the resistance and move forward anyway. You’re not doing this alone.

Prayer:
Jesus, strengthen me to face the hard things. Remind me I’m not doing this life alone. Your presence is my power.

Journal Prompt:
What “hard thing” are you facing this week? How can you invite God into it instead of escaping from it?

About this Plan

40 Days to Awaken Your Sober Mind

Have you found yourself at the end of a long day, wondering, “Is this glass of wine really helping? You’re not alone. Let's awaken your sober mind through presence, grace, and truth. We’ll explore what it means to pause, connect, and live in alignment. We’re going to look at what God’s Word says about freedom, peace, and wholeness. Each day, I encourage you to slow down and really reflect. Let this be more than just a reading. Let it be a rewiring. You are not broken. You’re being rebuilt. One day at a time, one choice at a time.
