40 Days to Awaken Your Sober MindSample

You don’t have to live by default. You can live by design.
Renewing your mind means consciously replacing old thought patterns with God’s truth. It’s an intentional shift from I need this to escape, replaced with God is enough. From I’m stuck to I’m being shaped.
Ephesians reminds us this is a holistic work of renewal within our minds, bodies, and souls. We need a constant awareness and transformation of our mental and spiritual attitude because it’s counter culture to the natural world that we live in. As Christ followers, we should be different from the world, which means we don’t think, feel, and act the same way.
Colossians tells us to elevate our mindset. To focus on what’s eternal, not temporary relief. God invites us to higher thoughts, which means looking UP more than we look around!
Every time you choose a higher thought, you wire your brain for freedom. “Neurons that fire together, wire together." That’s not fluff, it’s neuroscience + Scripture.
Prayer:
Lord, I give You my thoughts. Replace old patterns with new truth. Help me walk in the renewed mind You offer.
Journal Prompt:
Write an old thought you’re ready to release, and the new truth you’ll replace it with.

About this Plan

Have you found yourself at the end of a long day, wondering, “Is this glass of wine really helping? You’re not alone. Let's awaken your sober mind through presence, grace, and truth. We’ll explore what it means to pause, connect, and live in alignment. We’re going to look at what God’s Word says about freedom, peace, and wholeness. Each day, I encourage you to slow down and really reflect. Let this be more than just a reading. Let it be a rewiring. You are not broken. You’re being rebuilt. One day at a time, one choice at a time.
