The Spark of Personal Revival
When we hear "revival," we often think about the big picture—revival in the world, as we should. But how many know revival starts with personal revival? It starts with revival in you and in me.
How do we tap into personal revival?
Have you ever had a moment where you deeply hungered for God? For something more? A longing for clarity, direction, deeper faith? That hunger is the spark of revival. It starts with desire—recognising that you don’t want to just go through the motions. You want to live a life that makes a difference. You want something fresh from God every day.
My question is: Are you hungry?
Revival doesn’t just come through passion. It’s not just about enthusiasm or expressive worship. It’s not even about a moment at the front of the room. Revival comes through obedience.
Leonard Ravenhill said, “The only reason we don’t have revival is because we’re willing to live without it.” That hit me hard. If we’re okay with the status quo—if we’re willing to live without more of God—we will. But if we desire revival and put things in place to pursue it, then look out. Because that’s what He wants to do.
Revival demands something. It will cost us comfort, pride, maybe even independence. But here’s the foundation of today’s message: revival comes through obedience. Not suggestions. Not inspiration. Obedience.
If you want to experience revival, do what God asks you to do. When He speaks, respond. If he says “go,” go. If he says “stop,” stop.
This is the breakthrough moment. Are you ready?
