Showing How Jesus is Relevant to Life
Jesus is incredible. He is the image of the invisible God, showing us who God is and what He is like. He is the firstborn of all creation, the heir and ruler of all things, and the perfect example of human life. All things were created in Him, through Him and for Him. He is the reason that everything is. He sustains and holds together all things and He is supreme over all things. All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.
Whatever wisdom you need for life you can find in Jesus. There is nothing about human life that has not been changed by Jesus' incarnation, life, death and resurrection. There is nothing in the desires of our heart that cannot find its fulfilment in Jesus. He knows how to live the human life perfectly because He designed it. He knows how to comfort our suffering because He felt it.
Are you anxious? Learn from Jesus in Gethsemane as he expresses his sorrow, prays, and resolves to drink the cup the Father has for Him.
Are you grieving? Jesus offers the hope of eternal life.
Are you ashamed of your sin? Receive the forgiveness that Jesus purchased with His blood.
We all have problems, and none of them are left untouched by Jesus. If you are bringing your sorrows to Jesus you will see the difference He makes, and if you are seeing the difference Jesus makes, you can share that with others.
Action
Think about the struggles you face and the ways Jesus makes a difference. Look out for opportunities to share with others the difference Jesus makes for you.
Prayer
Praise Jesus, the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of creation.
Ask the Lord to reveal the wisdom and knowledge that are hidden in Christ so that you can help others discover who He really is.
Pray for those who suffer to be comforted and helped by the promises of Jesus. Pray that you might be a vessel of God's care and a messenger of hope for them.

About this Plan

You wouldn’t force a whole packet of biscuits in someone’s mouth; you would offer them one biscuit at a time. We would like to think the same principle applies when it comes to sharing your faith. This twelve day reading plan (inspired by The Biscuit Trail resource) will help you think through easy steps you can take to help others discover Jesus for the first time.
