Simple Prayer: How to Pray Like JesusSample

Father
The Father Who is Near
Read: Psalm 27
"Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me." (Psalm 27:10 NIV)
Devotional Thought:
Psalm 27 is a declaration of God’s presence even in the face of abandonment. God’s nearness is not dependent on our circumstances. When we say “Our Father,” we remind ourselves that we are never alone—God receives us again and again.
Reflection Activity:
Spend a few quiet moments simply being with God.
- Imagine yourself being held in his arms as his beloved child.
- Breath Prayer:
- Inhale: “Father, you are near…”
- Exhale: “…I am not alone.”
Prayer Practice: Ongoing Conversation
When you feel anxious or alone today, whisper “Father, you are near.” Let that simple reminder centre your heart.
Prayer:
Father, thank you for always being near. When I feel alone or unsure, remind me of your presence. Help me to walk in the peace of knowing I belong to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
