Lent | Week 5: What Jesus Did for YouSample

Jesus Gave You Peace with God
Before Jesus, there was a distance between us and God – a barrier that kept us from truly knowing him. People physically could not be in God’s presence, and only the best of the best – the most worthy people – could approach the places where God’s spirit dwelled.
But because of Jesus’ sacrifice, that barrier has been broken. Now, anyone can go directly to God without fear because Jesus made it possible for us to have peace with him. The peace Jesus offers isn’t just the absence of conflict. It’s a deep, lasting peace that fills your heart and soul, no matter what’s going on around you.
But are you experiencing that peace? Or do you still find yourself caught up in the weight of striving, stress, and restlessness? Jesus offers you peace that’s not tied to circumstances. It’s a peace that comes from knowing you are fully forgiven and fully God’s child. Let that peace settle in your heart today.
Pray: Jesus, thank you for making peace between me and God. Help me to live in the peace you’ve provided and let it fill my heart each day. Amen.
