Have you ever felt truly free? Not just the ability to make your own choices, but the feeling of being completely at peace? I’ve felt that freedom and it was the best feeling in the whole world. All my life I have struggled with wanting to feel fully in control of my life even when I knew I needed to let go. I knew God was bigger than my fears, but I still held onto my plans and my way of doing things. One day, during a Bible study with my best friends, this verse hit differently. I realized I had been holding onto things I needed to trust God with. When I finally let go, I experienced real freedom—one that wasn’t about having control, but about trusting God with it. That day, my stress and fear didn’t magically disappear, but I did feel lighter. So if the Son, that Jesus, sets you free when you choose to trust Him, you really are free.
What’s one thing you’ve been trying to handle on your own? Take a deep breath, talk to God about it, and ask for the freedom to trust that God is in control.
