Abraham's WorshipSample

Before we dive deeper into the main story of this Reading Plan, I think it is a good idea to first begin with some context.
Isaac was the son of Abraham and Sarah. In fact, he was the Promise of God, given to Abraham, that they would have a son at an old and "infertile" age. Sarah began to doubt whether it was possible to conceive a child at her age. As a result, Sarah and Abraham decided that Abraham should conceive a child with their servant Hagar. Hagar was soon pregnant and gave birth to Abraham's first son Ishmäel.
Now, at first, this may sound like a beautiful blessing of new life from God... however, the conception of Ishmäel was not part of God’s Will. Despite all of the consequences and conflicts that occurred as a result of Hagar's conception, God remained Compassionate, Faithful, and Merciful towards them. God blessed Abraham and Sarah with a son Isaac, who Sarah (according to God's Promise) later conceived, but God also blessed Ishmäel with numerous descendants.
God's Promises remain steadfast, enduring through all circumstances. Whether you make good or bad choices that align or stray from God's Will, He will remain Faithful to you and His Goodness will follow you forever.
Do you have Promises from God that have not yet come to pass? I would like to encourage you to write them down, and discuss them with God! Did you not yet receive any Promises? Pray about it, because He has Plans for each and every one of us.
Despite the turmoil and unhealthy dynamics within the family, Isaac, the promised son, matured into a child. Even though Isaac experienced much conflict within his own family, there was a greater challenge awaiting him. Tomorrow more about this!
