God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample

Colossians – Day 3
Our society is big on labels—skin color, ancestry, gender, job title. I’m required to label myself, and then I require others to accept the identity I’ve declared. But my label becomes a weapon. I divide myself from others and then require others to love and celebrate the way I’ve pushed them away.
But when I called Jesus my Lord and gave myself over to Him, I surrendered my identity of “sinner,” and my only name tag now reads “Child of God.” There’s nothing left to divide me from others, so I can now interact with them using the list in Colossians 3:12—compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
And if I share Jesus with others, they can share my label and interact with me using the same list. If you are a child of God, will you join me in sharing your label?
