God's Redemption Story (The Prophets)Sample

Jeremiah Week 2 – Day 1
Life is hard on a good day, and the consequences of our sins make it exhausting. The children of Israel knew that kind of weariness. They turned their backs on God and served the kingdoms who conquered them. Jeremiah 6 details the hardships they faced, but one verse is a nugget of hope tucked in the middle. “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls."
God offered to Israel, and He offers to us today, true rest. Not a water break or a quick nap, but a soul-deep rest. If you are weary of trying to live on your own, seek God’s direction and purpose. Yes, it’s old-fashioned, but God is faithful to deliver on His promise.
