A Missouri man says he has proof that a woman's intuition is real. He bases his claim on a board game he created. The game requires one player to guess how another will answer a question. He says when women play men, women win 74% of the time; men win only 26% of the time. Whether it was a woman's intuition or divine insight, the woman who anointed Jesus understood what His disciples did not. We read about it in Matthew 26. It occurred in Bethany at the house of Simon, a man Jesus had healed of leprosy. During supper, the woman came in with a jar of very expensive perfume. She poured it on Jesus' head. The disciples were indignant when they saw this. "What a waste of money," they said. "She could have sold this for a fortune and given the money to the poor." Jesus replied, "Why berate her for doing such a good thing to me? You will always have the poor among you, but I will not be with you much longer. She has poured this perfume on me to prepare my body for burial. I assure you, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman's deed will be talked about in her memory." This woman grasped what the disciples missed. She loved Jesus so deeply that she anointed His head in advance of His death. We do not want to miss the chance to show love for Jesus Christ. He means so much to us and He has done so much for us.
