The Power of Faith Sample

AS LONG AS MY DAD HOLDS THE ROPE
A group of botanists (plant experts) was looking for a rare flower on a mountain top. They found a rare type of flower in a small narrow coral - that people could only reach by a lifeline. It was a dangerous job for an inexperienced botanist, so they called in a shepherd boy who was well acquainted with the terrain. They offered the boy some gold coins if he would climb down the rope and pick the rare flower.
Although the boy desperately wanted to get the gold, he knew that the job was dangerous. Several times he peeked at the edge of the abyss from above, but he could not see a safe way through which he could take the flower. In addition, he also knew that he would have to risk his life in the hands of strangers who would hold on to the lifelines that bound his body.
Suddenly, the boy got an idea. He left the group of botanists for a few minutes and then returned holding an older man's hand. The shepherd boy ran happily to the ravine's edge and said to the botanists, "You can tie a rope under my arm now. I will go to the rock as long as you let my father hold this rope..."
Today’s devotional:
To whom do we entrust our lives today? We need to understand who we were when we were created - that we don't have to worry when we depend entirely on Christ.
The question is not whether any of us have faith and do not have faith; the question is in what or who we put our faith. (Anonymous)
