DAY 4 OF 24

## Week 1 - Day 4 ### Jesus Explains His Real Mission | Read It would’ve been amazing to be there when Jesus was healing people and casting out evil spirits. It is incredibly exciting to experience a miracle in our lives - when God meets a need, heals someone, restores a relationship, brings freedom, delivers us from evil. God cares deeply about any needs that we might have and any crisis that we might be facing. So... like the leper in Verse 40, we should be bold and ask God for the things that we need. He is powerful and active in our lives today. However, God is offering us so much more than just a miracle or two. The invitation is to a whole new life. God wants us to start to do each day with him - as Jesus did. The greatest gift we can receive is friendship with God - that’s the real ‘Good News’ which Jesus was committed to sharing. That’s why he was always looking for a new audience, a new opportunity to preach. So that new people can experience a relationship with God for the first time. The miracles bring us closer to God, so we can get to know him personally. Read more... Mark 1:21-45 ### Questions | Reflect & Respond If I was bold enough - what kind of miracle would I ask God for? Why do you think Jesus got up early to spend time talking with God? ### A Daily Conversation | Pray Jesus loved spending time in conversation with his Heavenly Father. He would often get up early or find somewhere to be alone with God. It’s Jesus who shows us what praying is all about. When we pray we get to share our needs and worries with God. We can be honest with whatever we are facing, and ask for His miracle. Jesus said that we should ask and keep on asking when we have needs. God isn’t upset when we repeatedly ‘nag’ Him about the challenges that are big in our world. So perhaps today is a good chance to be bold and just ask. It’s also good to invite God to walk with us through each day. Jesus got up early to get his heart settled and his head clear, to have a conversation with God first thing. He knew that everything He did was best when it flowed out of His relationship with His Father. The crazier our days are looking, the more valuable it is to start with prayer. You can just talk about your day, what happened, or what is ahead. God loves to share our journey with us and to hear about whatever is on our hearts.
