### POURING OUT MY HEART > When I’m running, you chase me down. Your embrace keeps me safe and sound. > When I call, you come running, Lord, You lead me home, You lead me home. We all have seasons in life when we run from God, or the things He wants for us. Yet He desires so strongly to be in relationship with us and doesn’t want anyone to be separated from Him for eternity. In the story of the lost son, we see that the son took and wasted all his inheritance on “wild living.”  This scene sounds so familiar. How many times have we wasted time, money or other resources we have on “wild living?” After the son lost it all, he finally came to his senses and decided to head home, hoping to be able to be at least a servant in his father’s house. Instead, we see something surprising. The dad sees the son and instead of being upset or angry that he wasted away his inheritance, he comes running after the son in joy, love and thankfulness. The father loved his son and expressed with his actions that no matter what his son did, home is where he belonged. This is such a clear picture of us. No matter how many times we run away from our heavenly Father, He loves us and is ready to chase us down if we will allow Him to. > You are for me, nothing else can stand against. > Never changing, You are always, You are always here. > Fighting for me, quick to come to my defense. > Right beside me, You are always near. It’s in His presence that there is safety, security and unconditional love that we can’t earn. Because we can’t earn it, we also can also never lose it! You are his son or daughter, and He is a good father who loves you and loves to give you good things. He sent the Holy Spirit to protect you, help you and comfort you. He intercedes for you (fights for you), will never leave you and is always with you. All you need to do is acknowledge Him and turn to Him in all that you do. You will always find Him calling you home and leading you in the path of everlasting life. Rest in the comfort that no matter what season of life you are in, He is there. Our prayer for you is that you would feel the presence of God with you today, everywhere you go. Acknowledge Him. After all, He is a friend. Right now, say hello and start talking to Him. He is ready to listen. There is nothing too big or small to tell Him. There is no need or frustration that will scare Him. Just pour out your heart and then sit still and wait on Him to pour back.
