Day 18 Read – Acts 18 Acts 18:25a "This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spoke and taught the things about Jesus accurately..." This verse in Acts 18 is talking about a Jew names Apollos. Apparently, he was taught well and learned all he could about Jesus and the scriptures such that he was about to use them powerfully and was able to teach in the way of the Lord. Could this describe you? Are you powerful in the use of the scripture and have fervor in the spirit that you desire to teach others? If not, why? How do we get this kind of ability to powerfully use the scriptures and fervor for teaching others? We take the time now to dedicate ourselves to learning what we can from the scripture and we earnestly seek God's face to have Him touch our spirit and give us the fervor for teaching others about Him. Now, I am not talking specifically about teach large masses of people or preaching, but everyone needs to be able to teach others. Everyone, whether as a friend or parent or coworker, has the opportunity to teach someone something at one point in their life. As such we need to be ready to teach others about Jesus when the time comes. Are you ready? Lord, prepare our minds and hearts for you. Draw us to you and help us to choose to take the time today to study your word.
