Day 10 Read – Acts 10 Acts 10:44 - 46 "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came upon all those who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astounded because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speaking in other languages and declaring the greatness of God." This was the first time a Gentile had received the Holy Spirit. Up until this point, only Jews had received the Holy Spirit, at least in a obvious way such as this. Jesus came first to the Jews, but they for the most part rejected Him, and then for the Gentiles. His sacrifice was not meant to be salvation for just one people group, but for all of humanity around the world. This is the point of chapter 10 in Acts, where Peter has a vision in which God tells him that nothing He has created should be called unclean and that includes people, like the Gentiles. Lord we thank you that your salvation is not just for one group of people, but for all humanity. We pray that we can be instruments for you to help spread this message to everyone.
