Breathe Again: Finding Peace Beyond Fear, Anxiety, and Worryنموونە

Day 4: I Don’t Know Where to Start
"Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path."
Psalm 119:105 GW
When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to freeze. You want peace. You want to trust God. But when your emotions are heavy, even knowing where to begin feels impossible.
God rarely asks us to fix everything in one day. What He does is lead us—step by step. You don’t have to know the outcome. You don’t have to solve the whole equation. Just ask, “What’s one thing I can do today that’s healthy and obedient?”
Psalm 119:105 is such a powerful promise because God’s Word doesn’t light up the whole highway—it lights up the next step.
Sometimes we get stuck because we’re trying to solve five or six things at once. But what if God is calling you to focus on one thing today? One thing you know He’s asking you to do—something healthy, something holy, something helpful. That’s where peace starts—not with fixing everything, but by doing the next right thing.
Maybe today that step is:
- Opening your Bible.
- Texting a friend and asking for prayer.
- Going for a walk.
- Turning off the noise and talking to God honestly.
- Choosing to pause before reacting.
- Forgiving someone who hurt you—or forgiving yourself.
We want to live with peace, but peace comes from obedience. And obedience happens one choice at a time. You don’t have to wait until everything is calm. Just ask: What’s one thing I can do today? Then trust God enough to take that step.
ONE THING
What’s one thing you can do today to move toward peace? Write it down. Make it simple and specific. Ask God to meet you in it—and then take the step.
