Breathe Again: Finding Peace Beyond Fear, Anxiety, and Worryنموونە

Day 3: God, Are You Even Here?
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
We all experience times when—even though we believe in God—we just can’t feel Him. When anxiety is high or life feels uncertain, it’s easy to assume God is distant. But He hasn’t gone anywhere.
Psychologically, the further we drift from the present moment, the more our worry, anxiety, and fear increase.
The more grounded we become in this moment, the more we begin to experience God's presence.
In Breathe Again, I talk about resetting your spiritual posture. That often begins with slowing down—not to do less, but to become aware. Aware that:
- God is already near.
- Peace doesn’t require control.
- Trust comes through your commitment to surrender to Him.
When you choose to be intentional in the moment, your perspective shifts. You stop following fear, and you start recognizing what’s actually true. That’s when peace shows up—not in your imagined future, but right here where God already is.
The simplest act of trust could be just to breathe and believe. Just take a deep breath and say, “Lord, I trust You with this moment.” Often, that’s all it takes to break the cycle.
He sees you. His peace is available now. Isaiah 26:3 promises God keeps us in peace—not because we’ve figured everything out, but because we’re learning to trust Him.
The more we trust Him in this moment, the more we feel the peace that’s already here.
ONE THING
Find a quiet space. Breathe slowly. Say this aloud or in your heart: “Lord, I trust You with this moment.” Repeat it three times. Then sit in silence for one minute and simply notice that He is near.
