Walking Humbly

It’s not about external actions, but the condition of the heart. Paul points to a deeper truth: God is not interested in performance—He’s interested in transformation.

This echoes what Jesus said in the Gospels: “Don’t focus on the speck in your brother’s eye while ignoring the log in your own.” It’s not about comparing journeys. It’s about examining our own. Not “How much do I know?” but “How much am I letting God change me?”

This passage reminds us that God is both just and gracious. He knows our hearts. He sees beyond our religious background, our upbringing, our behaviour—and looks at our inner response to Him. That’s confronting—but also freeing. Because it means none of us is too far behind, and none of us is “ahead.” We’re all invited into relationship, into growth, into grace.

So, how is your heart? Are you walking humbly with God, or coasting on what you know? Are you letting His Spirit shape you more into His likeness? That’s the journey Paul is pointing us toward—not to judge, but to grow.
