The Advocate Who Never Leaves

The Holy Spirit never leaves. Today, this promise is truer than ever. From the time of the disciples walking beside Jesus to the present day, the Holy Spirit has remained with us. In our day to day, we know Him. Jesus kept true to His promises that He would not abandon us, but would send the Advocate who not only teaches us all the words of Jesus, but now resides within us to overcome this world.

In this millennia, we are seeing the Spirit’s power and instruction to the 21st century believer. He comes in power as we proclaim the evidence of His life, shown in the power of the inner work in our lives. The fruit of His nature remains in us, setting us free from a fallen world and system that desires to enslave us. His power breaks the chains of darkness over our minds and cleanses the members of our bodies that have been tainted by this dark world, leaving us unspotted, ready to be submitted to Christ’s service.

The Advocate counsels, teaches, guides, empowers, resurrects, emboldens, strengthens, imparts wisdom, and so much more. He both restrains the darkness and empowers those who love Christ. When we have Him, the evidence is seen in our lives. He will continue to teach us all of the wisdom of our Savior and bring everything of Christ into our remembrance. Friends, it’s a good thing to be reminded that the Advocate remained in Christ as He lived in this world, and Christ saw it necessary that we have Him with us as well. There’s no greater friend than He as we live within this world, when He whispers the counsel of Heaven into our very own souls. The Holy Spirit is truly a necessity for the life of every believer.
