The ROI of Trust

There’s so much benefit when you trust in the Lord and lean into his power and strength:

Trusting the Lord surrounds you with mercy: “Many heartaches await wicked people, but mercy surrounds those who trust the Lord.” – Psalm 32:10 GW

Trusting the Lord results in blessing: “Whoever gives attention to the Lord’s word prospers, and blessed is the person who trusts the Lord.” – Proverbs 16:20 GW

Trusting the Lord gives you confidence: “Blessed is the person who trusts the Lord. The Lord will be his confidence.” – Jeremiah 17:7 GW

Trusting God reduces fear: “I praise God’s word. I trust God. I am not afraid. What can mere flesh and blood do to me?” – Psalm 56:4 GW

When you trust God, other people notice: “He placed a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see this and worship. They will trust the Lord.” – Psalm 40:3 GW

God made you who you are and created you in Christ Jesus to live a life filled with good works he prepared for you to accomplish.

You’re not on your own. You’re not alone.

As the Psalmist reminds you Psalm 115:9-11, “…trust the Lord. He is your helper and your shield.”

Ask yourself:

What am I most afraid of today? How can I make the Lord my confidence in my fear?

Lord, I declare my trust in you, throwing all my worries at your feet. Hold my hand and shield me from the evil one. Amen!
