The put themselves into rigorous training discipline to condition their body for the coming competition. Believers in the Lord Jesus is likened to an athlete. The question has been, did we strive to be the best, to be first in doing what He commanded us to do, “go into all the world”, be His witnesses?” When the goal is to become like our Lord, our running gets faster as we wait for His return!
