Can you imagine coming face to face with that angry king? These guys were in a situation that was completely out of their control. But they knew one important thing. God was there with them. They chose to trust Him and do what was right anyway. Did God rescue them from getting thrown into the fire? No! But Jesus Himself was there with them. Maybe you’re facing something in your life right now that seems just as scary to you as that fiery furnace. But you know what? God is there in the fire with you. Maybe someone is threatening you. Maybe someone is actually mistreating you. The Bible doesn't promise that you won’t go through the fire in life. Everyone will. But we can know that what this story shows us is is true. God will be with you. You will walk through the fire. But you will not be burned. When you put your whole trust in God like the guys in our story did, God will bring you through the fire without even smelling like smoke. You’ll see for yourself that when the fire gets hot, He’s the best friend you’ve got.
