Self-centeredness A lot us have experienced life's surprises. We have experienced the proverbial curved-balls life throws at us. And because of the weight of such experiences, a lot of people get caught up in thinking that the world revolves around them. But the truth is that it is not about you. It is all about Jesus. The story is not even your story; it is God's story. And God's story always ends in glory. We must not let the storms we experience corner us into self-centeredness. The three Hebrew boys understood this so well. Even though they had been brought before the king and were faced with the fiery furnace; yet, they understood that the central character in the plot was Jesus. He has always been and He always will be the center of it all. Self-centeredness hinders resurrection life and power. Surrender it at The Cross of Jesus Christ. Sometimes it helps to just look in the mirror and say, "It is not about me! It is all about Jesus!" Self-centeredness sometimes hides under the question, "What about me?" And as selfless as that sounds, there is a thin line between "What about me?" and "It's all about me!" Look out for self-centeredness and take it to The Cross. Prayer: Lord Jesus, the story of my life is the story of Your power and it is for Your glory.
