January 2 Introduction Yesterday’s reading concluded with Paul describing the righteousness of God (1:17). In today’s reading, he describes God’s anger against sin and evil and humanity’s guilt. According to Paul, those who engage in sinful behavior have exchanged “the truth about God for a lie” (verse 25) and do not worship the immortal God. Today’s Key Scripture: Romans 1:20a Ever since God created the world, his invisible qualities, both his eternal power and his divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God has made. Today’s Reading Romans 1:18-32 Reflect Reread verses 28-32. What behaviors does Paul describe by those who “refuse to keep in mind the true knowledge about God?” What effect would such behaviors have on society?
