The strength of a building lies in its foundation. In the natural sense, the main purpose of the foundation is to hold the structure above it and keep it upright. This definition of the purpose of the foundation applies even more to our spiritual lives. Sedertdien het die Heilige Gees gekom as ons Parakleet (Helper/Voorspraak). Hy wil ons help om sonde te oorwin en om nuwe eienskappe soos liefde, vrede, blydskap, geduld en selfbeheersing te ontwikkel. Hy sal ons met krag toerus om getuies van Jesus te wees.

Die lewe is beslis nie altyd maklik nie en ons as mense is beslis kwesbaar! Isak Burger kom verseker ons dat ons op God se edele sorg, liefde en beskerming kan staatmaak, want ons is vir Hom kosbaar. Dis wonderlik om te weet ons is veilig in sy hand. Hy is die Rots waarop ons huis veilig is, ongeag die winde en storms van die lewe.
